Original Ghostbuster and Ecto-1 attend art about Gremlins, Ghostbusters and Goonies!

Our Ghostbuster Sean is on his second Ecto-1, and his first went to starcar owner Bryan Fear! He and Sean and a bunch of other ghosties all had to go and support an art show dedicated to Ghostbusters, Gremlins and Goonies! When you add one of the original Ghostbusters Ernie Hudson (Winston Zeddemore) then you know the fanboys will show up in numbers!

Since their first art gallery show / event last April 3rd (2009) in Philadelphia, the Illustration collective known as the Autumn Society (directed by Illustrator & Designer, CHOGRIN, a.k.a Joseph Game), has made tremendous leaps, landing them to September 3rd (2010) LA, in an art show called, The 3G SHOW.

The Autumn Society & Gallery 1988 proudly present the teaser trailer to the premiere of the 3G show, an art show in tribute to the movies: Ghostbusters, Goonies, and Gremlins. Three movies that defined the 80’s (our) generation.

And if that’s not epic enough, how about throwing in one of the original Ghostbusters to appear at the event? That’s right, Ernie Hudson (Winston Zeddemore) appeared at the event in the Ecto-1 along with Chogrin (Illustrator & President of the Autumn Society) and San Diego Ghostbusters: Bryan Fear, Eric Eseke, & Sean Bishop. Michael C. Gross (producer of Ghostbusters), Seth Green, and Robin Shelby (Slimer in Ghostbusters 2) also made an appearance and supported the event. Simply put, it was a night of epic proportions. Unforgettable!

A Special THANK-YOU to Bryan Fear, Eric Eseke, and Sean Bishop for their support, enthusiasm, and for providing the Ghostbusters’ Ecto-1 and the DeLorean from Back to the Future. Also, thank-you to all the Southern California Ghostbusters who came out to the event!

ABOUT THE 3G SHOW

This is by far the Autumn Society’s biggest art show yet. In collaboration with Gallery 1988 (LA), the 3G Show is a Pop-Culture extravaganza, consisting of 3 art tributes (per Illustrator) to the 80’s trifecta that is: Ghostbusters, Goonies, and Gremlins! 3 movies that defined the 80’s (our) generation. View art, news coverage, and more about the 3G show at the Autumn Society Blog here:

The show was personally curated by the Autumn Society’s President, Chogrin (a.k.a Joseph Game) due to his love for Ghostbusters and 80’s pop-culture. The show wouldn’t of been possible without the help of Jensen Karp and Katie Cromwell who invited Chogrin and the Autumn Society (about a year ago) to show at Gallery 1988.

Besides just 80’s nostalgia, these movies had something special about them. That’s why we keep seeing echoes of them today. And through these echoes we hope people will listen and see a spark is still there and that we want to see more of these franchises & movies in theaters again.

You can purchase original pieces & prints from the show directly at Gallery 1988 or at their online store via the links below:
