David Hasselhoff at Comic CON video shoot!

David Hasselhoff to promote his new show on A&E contacted a few KITT owners and did some “gonzo shooting” (that means no permission, no permits, ticked off police) but as always the Hoff fans came out of the woodwork to create another crazy Hoff moment!

Several of the STARCARCENTRAL.COM KITTs dressed up like the HOFF and got their “Knight Rider on” up and down the streets of Los Angeles and San Diego outside comic con!

A group of “HOFF-A-LIKES” gather to pay homage to their hero, Michael Knight aka David Hasselhoff! Most all of the Knights of the West coast met up after the parade to swap HOFF stories.

star studded birthday bash for nate truman!

I tend to just ignore birthdays, but after enjoying the hospitality of many SCC members, I figured it was my turn to have everyone over for some food and fun, and as it was my birthday I had a reason to party!
Thanks to my amazing wife it all came together with her usualy stlye!

Check out the other batmobile on the wall!
The party got started before we were ready, but hey, in true starcar stlye, we just rolled with it and started the party!

The batcave computer screen was used for wii games and movies, and fun and food were there for everyone who came.

Of course we needed a special cake with every starcar member on the cake! If you were not there, the owner of the car next to your car got a bigger piece! It pays to show up to events!

Thanks to everyone who came over, it was fun, we will have to do it again at a bigger place so we can bring all the cars too!

Alex’s daughter liked our Pooh Bear bush. I should have put a BAT MASK on it!

The best thing about a party like this is it makes you look around at your place and start cleaning up! Twinkle lights under the patio cover were my gift to me! Thanks for everyone who came, and some fun gifts! I got an A-team shirt, a batman superman shirt, a Knight Rider watch, a Batman mask, some hotwheels and diecast Patrol cars cars, dinner at chilis and a meguiar goody bag…. apparently I am still 11 years old! 🙂 Because that’s all stuff I wanted!
Whew, now I am finally caught up…. Just in time for two big weekends!

Seaside lagoon tonight is showing Back to the Future with Paul’s delorean out front, and a pile of star cars will be at the car show at Ruby’s next door today from 4-10 pm. Saturday a few members will be at the SEMA show in Pasadena, then Sunday I film with the German TV show GRIP and maybe revisit the batcave! Next week We load in for the David Hasslehoff Roast. So don’t worry starcar fans, new blogs next week!

KITT VS KARR HERBIE vs. Masarati MC-12 and ROBOCOP RISES from the rust! Plus join us this Friday at Seaside Lagoon! Back to the Future!

Starcar news happens all over the place, and there is no WAY I can cover it all, but here are a few updates on SCC members!
KITT and KARR went head to head again for a photo shoot for High Speed Magazine, and Alex Wong and Dan Trukillo Jr. took their KITTs down to do a photo shoot.

Check out that crazy truck behind them!

DJ the photographer wanted to check out Alex’s top notch dash!

Then Jerry with his Herbie got a nice parking space next to another white car. a Maserati MC12!

The Pictures of Herbie and the MC12 were taken at The Riverside Auto Museum.

The guy that owns it and about 5-6 Million in race cars is a land developer and built this building for his collection and has the largest collection of Riverside Raceways memorabilia.

He has two full time archivist and a mechanic and they were nice enough to allow Herbie inside and park next to His $1,400,000
MC12.
Jerry thougt it was kinda funny as the owner of the whole collection was taking pictures of Herbie? LOL!

As I have “infected” all my star car pals with the idea that they can have more than just ONE famous car, Mark G. aka “Adam-12” decided to do something about us losing our Robocop car, and went and got one!

He sold his “Emergency” fire truck, so now there is room for OCP’s latest cruiser! I bet he gets it done before I finish the other batmobile… heck, he might beat the A-Team van!

Join us this Friday the 23rd at Seaside Lagoon for an outdoor showing of Back to the Future, with a TIME MACHINE DELOREAN right there to get your picture with, along with a few other suprise starcars!

Aldersgate Parade Starsky and Hutch join KITT, BTTF Delorean, and Magnum P.I. Ferrari for the 4th!

yeah, I know it’s July 21st. I am finally getting around to finishing all the SCC did during that one weekend!
I was contacted by
Aldersgate Retreat to have 4 starcars be in the Pacific Palisades 4th of July parade.
>
A great little place with an adorable chapel next door, that is run by the Methodist Church as part of their retreat and camp facilities.
Paul and Reba took them up on their offer of a room and enjoyed their two night stay, but everyone else was too busy to join them, including my family!

Everyone found the place, and after parking the cars, we were treated to a nice lunch of burgers and hotdogs. What else do you serve on the 4th?
Then off to the parade that was very well attended, and we were amazed that people’s chairs were out along the route staking out their spots the night before!

Paul posed with an Aldersgate volunteer that ended up riding with Alex in KITT.

I rode as Hutch with Scott in his Torino striped tomato and had fun playing cops and robbers!
“Where’s Huggy bear?” got a few laughs, but the people really loved his big accurate Sweater from the show that Starsky? wore!

This was Scott’s first SCC event, and he’s finishing a BANDIT so we hope to see a lot of him in the future!

Oscar brought his red Ferrari, not the blue one – and cruised through the crowds at blurry speeds! (Or, there was some stuff on the lens….)

After the parade we all gathered back at the center, for some cookies and lemonade!

The weirdest thing in the parade, is a woman who came out and had to kiss all of the starcars!
Really!
Don’t believe me? Here’s a KITT KISS!

AKIRA REAL LIFE MOTORCYCLE FOR SALE! KANYE WEST VIDEO BIKE!

I get to meet lots of interesting and smart people in my line of work and in my hobby of famous movie and TV cars.

Eddie Paul is a pal and an amazing builder of just about anything! He was contacted to build a real life version of the cartoon recumbent motorcycle seen in the AKIRA for a Kanye West Video. Eddie built it out of thermal plastic, and installed an electric motor in it, but then was asked to remove the motor for the shoot.

Here’s a lucky girl getting to try the AKIRA bike out before delivery!
Below is the video, but warning, KANYE uses curse words in his videos! The bike is NOT in the video (who made THAT decision?) It may have been puilled due to copywrite problems? Who knows?

Even though they shot the bike it didn’t make the cut of the final video, kanye did shoot with the bike and signed it.

Kanye West and Eddie Paul talk over the details of the bike at the video shoot.

Here is the bike on the set with Kanye and a lucky fan!

The bike is currently set up for a motor and could easily (by a semi-skilled fabricator) be made to run again. It is also signed by Kanye West as well as his producer of the video! Please contact Eddie but only if you have cash on hand and are serious about buying this rare ground up custom-built motorcycle!

4th of July at CBS and in Pacific Palasades Aldersgate events! The OTHER batmobile appears, and a new Starsky joins up!

Yeah, I know, too many posts on one day but I have time to catch up so I am gonna do it!
After the Lake Forrest parade on July 3rd 2010, the next day had a show AND a parade. At the CBS fireworks show Starcarcentral.com teamed up again with TMPCC as a display in a soundstage and there were some nice cars there.

A few SCC members parked in a sound stage so the cars and people were not out in the sun. The guys were parked and ready to go by 3:00PM and people started coming in around 5:00pm.

Tom brought his great bat out for everyone to see, and I like to show off Tom’s shiny bat when ever I can!

Here’s Lynda with the Torino, she brings the snacks, so she should get a little screen time now and then, right Lou? Behind Lynda is Sue’s Get Smart Sunbeam. Cliff tried to get there with his Herbie, but Herbie had other ideas and blew his lid on the way there. 😦

Everyone went out to watch the fireworks show and it was pretty good, according to Lou! The highlight of the day was meeting actress Geena Davis and she did say that Lou’s car was “very cool”. A great shout out to Ken Latka and the team at TMPCC for taking care of whatever the guys needed.
Meanwhile, out near Malibu a parade was taking place….

Organizing 3-4 events a weekend was NOT part of my plan, but I was glad that I could get lots of the gang to an event somewhere! I was taking calls most of the morning finding missing cars and discovering a great little secret place called “Aldersgate” before the parade got started. I am such a patriotic guy I am gonna drag out the 4th of July to next week, because this is just too much blogging for one day! Next week, the end of the 4th, the big starcarcentral.com birthday bash, and more with the HOFF!
